Cisco Icons
These are samples of the types of icons available to use in creating network diagrams. It is far easier to communicate complex network design with a network drawing. Visio (a Microsoft program) is the predominate networking software common among Network Engineers.
It is good practice to create a directory to store the icons and to reference and use as needed.This graphic was created using a trial version of Edraw (http://www.edrawsoft.com/). Typically I use Visio (Microsoft)to create network diagrams, but I am experimenting with other tools to compare features and functionality.
I will be creating many network diagrams throughout this course and will be posting for further learning opportunities and discussion.
